Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windows>vista>hardware_devices (more info?)

I have a laptop with Windows Vista Ultimate and when the Login screen comes
up there is a keyboard showing under the user squares, and the keyboard is
not the Acessibility keyboard(I think). Also, the mouse pad doesn't work,
however if I connect a USB mouse it works.

I suspect you'll need to follow this guide to get it removed:

http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/remove-the-on-screen-keyboard-on-the-vista-login-screen/

Basically it's removing it from the Windows Features/Tools menu in
control panel.
