Post subject: outline view
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>powerpoint (more info?)

when creating a presentation i know you should see the slide material in
outline view however it is not showing. how will i transfer the slide
material to outline view please?

Only text that is in placeholders show up in Outline. If you have you used
text boxes, these won't show up.

How does one create a placeholder?

Actually, only text in Title or Body text placeholders shows up in the outline.

While you can create new placeholders in PPT 2007, text you place in them won't
appear in the outline.

If you've deleted existing Title or Body text placeholders, you can restore
them to a given slide layout ... tell us what version of PPT you use and we'll
explain how.
