I've been interested in dabbling with it for a very long time. I've read
what info I have and it is not clear if it can be installed on NTFS. I'm
running XP pro sp3+ on that.
Oddly, I can see the files on FAT32 partition.
\I did see in the notes that virtual pc can access multiple drives or OS
installed on another drive. Can a FAT 32 OS be installed within virtual PC?

It'll work fine on NTFS.

I suggest VirtualBox.

MS Windows Virtual PC, VMware Workstation, VMware Player, VirtualBox,
etc... All the same concept done by different entities. Allowing you to
run a virtual machine on top of your current operating system.

If you are considering 'jumping into the unknown' - now is the best time to
introduce you to how to utilize Google.

Search using Google!

(How-to: http://www.google.com/intl/en/help/basics.html )

Yo may think you know how to use it - but you asked a question just now that
implies that maybe you do not. You had the key words, all you had to do was
search. However - it is necessary that you use the proper keywords.

You asked, "What is virtual box?" and I had said prior, "I suggest
VirtualBox." --> it is a subtle difference, but can make a large impact on
your search results (doubt it would here - but...) (VirtualBox - one
continuous bunch of letters, no space.)

What is VirtualBox
http://www.google.com/search?q=What+is+VirtualBox

Would lead you quickly to:
http://www.virtualbox.org/

Where you could download it, read up on it, etc.

Be aware that there are 32-bit and 64-bit versions so get the right one , or
both, if your going to upgrade your hardware any time soon.
