Everytime I try to add a digital copy of a dvd or blu ray into my iTunes
it says I do not have the access privilages. I am the administrator and
my computer is definately authorized with my iTunes. I emailed Apple,
and the guy said it was probably a Vista issue, and was unable to help
me. Is there anyone out there with similar problems and a way to fix it?
It is rather frustrating.

As Jim suggested, these are probably copyright-protected discs and you
didn't remove the copyright/DRM when you duplicated them. This isn't an
iTunes or a Vista issue; it's all because of the "pleasure" of being
saddled with DRM.

Google around for how to handle this sort of thing. Here's a good starting
resource for you:

I didnt dupicate these discs. These discs come with new DVD's or
blu-ray's specifically to be put onto your computer to use with itunes
or windows media player.

Oh. Well, I'm sorry but I don't know the answer. Try the Club CD Freaks
forum I already gave you. The people who post there are media experts.

Sorry I was unable to help you.

It's the principle that someone who paid for a legitimate copy has to
use the same method that the pirate uses to make pirated copies in order
to play what's rightfully his to begin with. I thought the DRM train of
thought was moving more towards, "make it easier for the consumer and
harder for the casual pirate."

Is it a Vista issue or just an iTunes issue? You may be in the wrong forum.
Are you able to add the copy to your PC and run it with WMP?
iTunes is an Apple product and hates MS by design. I installed iTunes and
it does annoying stuff, like trying to automatically 'synch' my iPod and
disconnect it so Windows won't recognize it for any other program to update
it, while my iPod (other Apple product) isn't recognized properly by WMP
when I do completely disable iTunes so it's not forcing the iPod to
disconnect. My Sony MP3 player works fine in WMP, not so well in iTunes.
Stick with Apple, or stick with MS. If your digital copy works with WMP,
you may want to uninstall iTunes. If you also have an iPod which requires
the iTunes, you may want to disable the iTunes. Avoid using iTunes on an MS
OS if at all possible. If it's just iTunes having the issues, look for an
Apple forum.

I tried that. If the automatic sync option is turned off, iTunes still
wants to disconnect my MP3 players. Apple sucks.
