Post subject: question about an error message

ok so over the last year i have been taking the card from mymother in
laws camera and downloading her pictureso to my computer thru my camera
and have had no problem now all the sudden it gives me an error message
that says disk is not formattedwould u liketo format now
and so i know if u format something then it will delete everything
any one know how to fix this problem, also my card works fine in my
camera and downloads great! any advice would be greatly appreciated!

What about right clicking it and checking the file system, it sounds
like it's at least partially corrupted.

Otherwise, just download the files on a different computer (maybe a Mac
or Linux one) or via the USB connector and format the card *using the
camera*.
