Post subject: blue screen error
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>basics (more info?)

Running xp home. Turn on machine and receive a ble screen that states the
problem is with a file named iastor.sys. Can boot successfully into safe
mode. Anyone with ideas? Thanks

Stop Error in Iastor.sys: (Dell support):

Assuming that your Windows XP system was running just fine... What changed?

Did you install some new software?
Manually do Windows Updates?
Upgrade/replace/add some hardware?

I believe they tried reinstall the printer ...that would be the only change

question about an error message -

Print spooler error kills printer useage - My printer stopped working a couple of months ago. The error message says it's a print spooler problem. It has also done this twice during the past year and I reinstalled windows xp both times to fix it. So there must be something about my computer..
