I assume you are talking about Windows XP SP3 because of your Subject
Line. (Or is it possible this SP3 for something else?)
Which version of XP are you running (Home, Pro, or MCE)? Which SP level
is it currently at? If you need to:
Start | Run | winver | OK
Since the SP3 upgrade process does not require one to load any CDs at
all, you need to tell us excactly what you are doing. Are you using the
Windows Update Web site? The .exe installation file? The Service Pack
CD? Something else?
What is the make and model of your PC? Did it come with a Windows XP
installation CD?
What message (with regard to Word 2002) did you see -- *verbatim* ?
