I just installed I.E. 8 and in operating instructions for removing "history"
files they say to click on the "safety button" on the menu bar.
I don't see a"saety button" anywhere on the page.
Someone here have any idea where to look?
Thanks

In the icon for the "home" icon, etc. look for a chevron icon ">>" which
will give you additional icons (buttons) which will include the safety
button which may not be showing at your screen resolution.

The "tools" button (just a word, not a button) is the same place a the
"HOME - a small house icon) and the "safety" button.
Why don't you find a friend with more experience that you have show you?
But yes, if you open the "tools" menu, then the Internet Options selection,
you can delete the history.

I found the 'safety' button i was looking for.
It turns out that section of the menu bar was missing from my screen. After
searching the tool bar menu,i found what you were referring to. All is well.
Thanks
