My visible volume control no longer works. I uninstalled several times. I MAY
have installed in two locations at two times. When I uninstall and reinstall,
the favorites are still there, which is suspicious. They should be gone.
Reinstallation does not fix the volume. The MUTE still works and is visible
on the OS. It does not unistall in safe mode.

What do you mean no longer works?

does it show the speaker icon on the task bar?
what happens when you click on it? exactly!

That which is visible on the screen. I see the mute in use but not the
volume. Everything else works. I think the question may really be about how
to get the keyboard COMPLETELY unloaded so when I reload it, there are no
remnants of my favorites.

Why is it that when I click on the link in my email I get a blank page. I
have to manually go to the newsgroup and find the post.

I assume this is an MS keyboard. Did you install Intellitype? I have
a Logitech keyboard with its software not installed. As a result, the
keyboard volume control doesn't work, but the Mute does, as that
function is built into the XP keyboard drivers. You need Intellitype
installed for all the extra functions and programmable keys to work.

When I said that all the other Favorites are working, I was referring to the
Intellitype software.
