New Vista 64 install here. Any recommended services that most people
turn off that would get me even better performance?

Most services once started at boot time probably use less then 1% cpu power
so the effect on system performance is negligible.

If you feel your system performance is being compromised by the default
services then are you sure your system is up to the job.
Obviously if you are running the x64 build you are running with 4GB of
memory or more?
What are the specs of the system you believe is being performance impacted
by the default services.
