Systray Notification Icons Don't Load

What information am I looking for in the Event Viewer??? When I launch the
viewer, I get the following choices: Application Error Records, Security
Audit Records and System Error Records. I looked into all three and didn't
really see anything that pertains to notification icons. Is there a specific
file that I am looking for???

You are just being asked to post copies of any Error or Warning Reports,
essentially from the System Log , which have occurred in the last 48
hours. If there are none in the System log check the Application log. We
are just looking for signs that something is not as it should be. It is
unlikely that you will see something that obviously refers to
Notification icons. Do not worry if you haven't a clue what a Report
means.

button resembling two pages. Click the button and close Event
Viewer.Now start your message (email) and do a paste into the body of
the message. Make sure this is the first paste after exiting from

This looks like Malware. If there is one infestation there could be
more.

I would suggest you download and run Spybot S & D (freeware version) and
see if it finds anything like a Trojan. If Spybot S & D finds anything
significant ( other than cookies) you need to be wary. If it removes
something and it returns or another nasty pops up it can be an
indication that there is another hidden nasty not being detected by
Spybot.

Found this comment about this Event.

As per ATI: "When a digital panel connected to the graphics card the
Windows system log will show the error CRT invalid display type, the
source is ati2mtag. This occurs with Catalyst 7.7 and higher. This error
will not cause any issues to the system or performance. If you do not
want to see the error, the workaround is to install Catalyst 7.6". See
the link to "AMD Knowledge Base Topic 737-29385" for more information.

I am wondering whether your system is stressed and resorting over much
to use of the pagefile.

What is the CPU and how much RAM does your computer have? Right click on
the My Computer icon on your Desktop and select Properties to get this
information.

Try Ctrl+Alt+Delete to select Task Manager and click the Performance
Tab. Under Commit Charge what is the Total, the Limit and the Peak?

Nothing in the remaining reports is worth taking further. The check for
malware could reveal something.
