The sort and filter arrows which used to be visible in tables and queries are
now not visible. I can click on the right end of the field name and the Sort
/ Filter menu that displays when you click the arrow will appear. However, I
cannot see which columns are sorted or filtered.

I have tried everything I can think of--Access Options, Fonts, Gridlines,
Shading, Table Properties, and even downloaded SP2 for Office 2007. I have
not reloaded Access, yet.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi DeeH,
when you sort or filter a table or query, in A2007 there is a small filter
icon at the right side of the column head. If the column is narrow, the icon
is almost hidden. Drag the column header to make the column wider and look
for the filter icon.

Hi Jeanette,

I appreciate your quick response and great suggestion. However, the columns
are plenty wide. The box which is suppose to contain the arrows will display
when I point to the right end of the field name but in invisible unless I
point to it. The arrow symbols will never display.

Any other suggestions you or anyone might have would be appreciated!

I can say that I have never seen this behavior in a2007 running on Vista.
I checked with a2007 running on XP and it also works fine.

I'm having the same issue. Am running Access 2007 on Windows 7. Very
strange ... still looking for an answer.
