I have Windows XP. When I shut down, more often than not, I get a pop-up "End
Program ccApp", this program is not responding. I have to click End Now for
the system to complete the shutdown cycle. I don't know why ccApp hangs or
how to fix this. Any help is appreciated.

Most likely you have Norton products installed?

Download and install the User Profile Hive Cleanup Service
