Post subject: SUBFORM was working and now it's not
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>access (more info?)

Hi,

My subform (order details) in a purchase order has been working and now is
not. I have not made any changes to either form or subform... so I'm baffled
as to why it would suddenly stop working.

What it is doing (or more accurately not doing): When I'm using the form
and entering information, it does not allow me to tab into the subform if
I've entered data on the form. It does allow me to click directly into the
subform if I do not enter data into the main form first... but that only
gives me other error messages because there needs to info in the main form
first.

This was working fine, as far as I can tell, on 12/18. I have tried to
start troubleshooting this and have copied the form and subform from a
previous backed up version prior to 12/18 when I KNOW it was working
properly. The problem is still there and is the same.

I have no clue what could be the problem. Please HELP. Any advice and
guidance would be GREATLY appreciated!!!

Just a thought

With your main form in design view, right click and select TAB Order

Is your subform in the list and is it in the right position for skipping to
the subform?????

Hope this helps

Kealaz-
It sounds to me like the relationship between your tables changed. When you
try to enter the subform (after entering data into the main form), is there a
message displayed (usually very quickly) in the lower left corner of the
window? What does it say? Have you tried to edit the subform data via a query
containing the same data as the form/subform? I usually encounter this type
of problem when I have changed something in the tables that then makes the
subform data not updateable.
