SP3 installed & now CD doesn't work

I just installed SP3 and now my CD drive doesn't work. The indicator light is
always on and i can't find it on explorer. I tried to uninstall SP3 but it
says that "the system cannot find the file specified" and that " the Service
Pack 3 was not installed." What should be done?

The computer is Windows Xp Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 3
Pentium 4 CPU 1.60 GHz 1.59GHz, 1.25GB of RAM

Restore your system to a restore point just before you installed SP 3.
Then follow these instructions:

"Steps to take before you install Windows XP Service Pack 3"
