I have Powerpoint 2007 with Vista on a Sony Vaio. I have just converted the
trial version supplied to a full version. However the problem I was
experiencing in the trial version has continued. In short, I get an error
when I try to close Powerpoint that causes 2 actions - 1. an attempt to
reopen Powerpoint and an attempt to report the problem.
Any ideas how I can fix this? PS it also happens with Word 2007/Vista.

Thanks Ian

Hi Ian

This sounds like a printer driver issue. Crazy, I know, but you're just
going to have to trust me Wink
PowerPoint 2007 text editing slow, text cut off, text display or formatting
problems, print, crash problems

If installing the suggested test printer driver doesn't work, come back with
the text of the error message please.

Hi John

The printer driver issue isn't related to printing - it's related to the way
PowerPoint (and I believe Word) renders what you are looking at on the
screen. There is a technical link between the printer driver and the way the
programme works. I have no idea why (or what any of the techy details are),
I just know that installing the recommended test printer driver solves many
problems for many. many users. It's a good troubleshooting step.

If installing the test printer driver doesn't solve the issue, please come
back with the exact text of the error message you are getting.
