Hi,
I need to download a copy of this massive release since I have more than one
box with XP. When I tried to find it in the microsoft site, no luck. Can
someone send me the link that's for XP and has that 250MB service pack?
Thank you
This is what I want
Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 and .NET Framework 3.5 Family
Update (KB951847) x86

NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=AB99342F-5D1A-413D-8319-81DA479AB0D7&displaylang=en

SP1 also includes cumulative servicing updates to the .NET Framework 2.0 and
..NET Framework 3.0 subcomponents. Microsoft has also included the NET
Framework 2.0 SP2 as part of 3.5 SP1. You have the choice of using the
bootstrapper or downloading the "Full Package" Service Pack file.

OK you seem to be the closest since even when I google the KB951847 doesn't
come up with concise stuff. Now I thought this service pack was released
today yet the link you gave me shows a release date of 12/17/2008.
Will the 12/2008 be the same?

OK that link brings me to a file that's a fraction of that mammoth release
for XP which is almost 250MB.
I think I am going to wait until MS releases it officially which hopefully
should happen later on this week.

The small download file near the top of the
links web page is a bootstrapper.
You download this file to your PC and then
double click to start the install process while
connected to the Internet.

If you scroll down to the bottom of the page
you will see the "Full" download file which you
download and then execute this file from the PC.
