I have set up two limited user accounts and I am the administrator. The
desktop PC we are using is running Windows XP Home. I have sound as
administrator but can't get any sound for the limited user accounts. Does
anyone know how to resolve this problem please?

I only have one account on my XP (me) and the administrator.

I would think that each user would have their own profile loaded once
they login. When you set them up initially, you can choose what you
want them to be able to do, etc.

Check in the Settings > Control Panel, Sounds and Audio Devices
Properties when each user is logged in and make sure the settings are
not Muted, the volume is up where you want it, etc. Compare your
working Admin settings to what the user settings are when each is
logged in. Make their settings look like the settings you know work.

If you then click on the Sounds tab, you can see the sound files for
just about everything that happens in Windows (and change them) and
also choose to hear it by clicking the Play Sound button. Try it as
Admin and then when logged in as one of your users.

Since you can hear things as Admin, then your sound device and
speakers are working properly. You need to check the settings for
each afflicted user when they are logged in with their own profile and
adjust accordingly..
