I'm using Vista Home Premium 32, a newish MS Wireless Laser Desktop 6000
(tried another set, same problem) set on six month old pc with plenty of
everything. I run anti virus/spyware regularly and updates.
Periodically, my mouse will suddently start slowing down and I have to
bang several times on the buttons to get the response and when it does
it is slower than usual. This just happens out of nowhere, lasts for a
few days, then goes back to normal. This happens with or without a
browser open and on just one window open and is very annoying and
frustrating. I didn't have this problem when I used XP.

I would greatly appreciate any assistance I can get on this. Thanks!

have you got anything set in program scheduler that may be causing a
glitch with your system?
Next time it happens boot into safe mode to see if it resolves the
problem.
Post your results.

Never use hibernation/sleep, always shut down and reboot your computer.
Also there may be electronic interference with the wireless mouse, a more
common problem than manufacturers will admit.
If your mouse is near a wireless router or other wireless devices (even
telephones) that may be the problem.
