Post subject: Indexing Options
Archived from groups: microsoft>public>windowsxp>perform_maintain (more info?)

Running: XPSP3; OE6; IE7

I'm trying to find the location of Indexing Options. I have become among
the few that developed a problem with Outlook Express always wanting to
compact messages when closing after I loaded SP3 even though I don't have any
mail messages to compact. In going through various posts the solution seems
to be removing Outlook from indexing. Access to the indexing Icon is suppose
to be Control Panel | Indexing Option. I can't find anything about indexing
on my control panel. Of course I don't know what the Icon looks like.
Another location is suppose to be right clicking on the magnifying glass in
the task tray. Again I don't have one either hidden or visible. Can anyone
direct me to the options location so I may fix the problem?

Tx.
