for instance when i open up the database, i want for a box or something to

Yes, we get it.

Have you tried the answer (the Combo Box wizard) which three people have now
suggested?

Not only have you been told, at least three times, how to go about this
using one of the built-in Wizards, you've been given links to at least two
possible demos you could try to copy from.

Now it's YOUR turn.

Over the years I have found that there is no better way to learn than to
actually roll up your sleeves and dive right in. That works for everything
from gardening to raising puppies to building a database. Dig right in and
try it yourself. You're going to make mistakes. I do it often enough to have
had large amounts of hubris extracted forcefully from my psyche and I'm
still in there pitching every day. The good news is that, after the mistakes
will come the learning. Go for it. You'll be glad you did, I promise.
