Hi all and sorry to be a nuisance

I'm trying to run echo clips made as avi files in powerpoint 2007.

I have the clips saved on a memory stick and can run the files in WMP with
no prblems however once inserted in to powerpoint it doesn't play but gives
me a black page. Have tried searching for solutions on many fora without
success. I've even downloaded PFC Media but its still not working.

I'm running out of time. Any ideas??

Can you try to re encode your avi file into ...an avi file? (no it's not
stupid)
I use SUPER (free) for that...And maybe it will work as it did for me

If PFC Media is not working for you, you might try contacting the author
(through the PFC Media Web site) for support. He's usually pretty good
about helping people sort out this type of problem.

you need to convert the clips to .wmv to run easily in powerpoint
you could try something like www.avs4you.com

What operating system are you using? I have been importing avi echo clips
for years in multiple versions of powerpoint, including powerpoint 2007. I
recently upgraded to Windows 7, and now the videos in all of my previous
presentations no longer work. I am still looking for a solution other than
converting all of my echo clips to wmv format, and in the meantime had to
downgrade to Vista.

Good luck,
