Does anyone have any experience using these together?

I spent a lot of time and energy updating an old (developed in 2000)
presentation using SmartArt as well as some other animations.

When we did a test run w/ Presenter (v7.2 or .3) all the SmartArt had a
light grid overlaying it and any text appearing on top of a darker background
(shape w/ bevel and shading) is bordering on unreadable it is so pixellated.

I'm trying to un smart the SmartArt (cutting/pasting back in as a
WMF...which isn't working out too well) to see if that helps any but I was
wondering if anyone else has faced any of these challenges.

Thanks,
Christine

I've been fortunate to not have to use Presenter (I find it a horrible mess),
so I can't help you with that, but if you want to convert your smartart, you
can copy and use Paste Special to paste it as a picture (either Enhanced
Metafile or Windows Metafile), and I believe that should do what you want.

I tried EMF and although it looks just fine in normal view...once I go to
Slide Show all the shapes turn black!

I don't know what to say about that, it works fine for me. Did you have any
animation effects on the smartart before you copied it?

That's weird. Like Cosmo says, ungrouping SmartArt usually works fine for
me.

If you want to shoot me one of the slides, I can look at it here and see if
it's just a display issue for you or if it's more universal than that.

Also, SP2 for Office 2007 introduces the ability to ungroup SmartArt on the
right-click menu without having to go through the Paste Special dance. Not
sure if that will help or not, but it might be worth a try.
